Tejashwi Yadav behaves like Aurangzeb: Giriraj Singh | Patna News – Times of India

PATNA: After ‘General Dyer’, it’s now Mughal emperor Aurangzeb who has found mention in poll campaign in the state.
A day after RJD drew parallel between Munger police firing and that of Jallianwala Bagh massacre, BJP firebrand leader Giriraj Singh described opposition’s CM candidate Tejashwi Prasad Yadav as ‘Aurangzeb’.
“He (Tejashwi) removed pictures of his father Lalu Prasad from posters of the party ahead of the assembly polls to suit his political gains,” Giriraj said, adding Tejashwi is behaving with his jailed father in the manner Aurangzeb did with his father and Mughal emperor Shah Jahan.
The Union minister’s remarks came on the sidelines of the election campaign in favour of BJP’s candidate Mithilesh Tiwari from Baikunthpur assembly constituency in Gopalganj district on Thursday.
On Wednesday, Tejashwi had slammed the NDA government led by Nitish Kumar for the police “brutality” in Munger in which one person was killed.
“Who permitted the police to open fire? Who permitted them to become General Dyer of Jallianwala Bagh massacre?” Tejashwi had said. LJP chief Chirag Paswan also joined the chorus and slammed CM Nitish Kumar for the Munger police firing. “Nitish is playing the role of General Dyer of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre,” Chirag had said.
Earlier, former CM and HAM(S) chief Jitan Ram Manjhi had described Chirag as ‘virus’ and warned the people against voting for LJP candidates.
